Unified Satellite Testing Software

With the advancement of the use of satellites for the function of most basic necessities, the care and protection of it also becomes as aspect of imperative reckoning. A spacecraft and its payload must be built in order to be able to face the extreme stress which generally occurs during the launch phase. Once in the orbit, it must also withstand the harshness of the space environment. In order to ensure that the spacecraft works as designed and planned, every last element of the vehicle as well as the wholly assembled spacecraft need to be tested on the ground the kind it will face in space. It was developed for a 16-bit processor and the application has an optimized organization of star catalog for low memory and fast access, a quaternion based parameter structure to avoid trigonometric functions and singularity points, a geometric tracking method for fast and error free star identification and simple attitude propagation model. Sankya’s solution is made such that it is operational on two satellites. Designed for 24x7 operations, these applications are operational onboard live satellites.

Doppler Weather Radar Image Processing

Weather prediction and estimation is a study that has proven to be very useful for human beings. Be it a travel plan or launching a space craft, to know in advance the possible turns the weather could take has become very important. Sankya’s Doppler Weather Radar Image Processing Software does all this and more. It is an image processing software to process Doppler weather radar data to estimate and show as accurately as possible the atmospheric parameters for weather prediction and rainfall estimation. The results are charted and presented in graphical form familiar to meteorologists. IDL and JAVA are the tools used to develop this software.
